Rogers County Chapter Supports Claremore Students with $5,500 Attendance Matters Donation

The HBA of Greater Tulsa’s Rogers County Chapter is investing in student success—and the future of the Claremore workforce.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa’s Rogers County Chapter is supporting students at Northeast Tech’s Claremore campus with a $5,500 donation to the school’s Attendance Matters initiative.

The program focuses on improving student attendance and helping young people understand the importance of being present, engaged and ready to learn.

For the Rogers County Chapter, the effort is a natural fit for an organization invested in the future of the Claremore community.

“We live and work in this community, and we want to see our kids do well,” said Robert Chandler, Rogers County Chapter President. “If helping students get to school and stay engaged makes a difference, then that’s something we want to be part of. It’s good for the students, it’s good for their families and it’s good for Claremore.”

Showing Up Matters

Regular school attendance plays an important role in student success. When students miss school, they can miss instruction, hands-on learning and opportunities to develop the skills they will need after graduation.

That connection is especially important in communities like Claremore, where education and workforce development go hand in hand.

As a career and technology education provider, Northeast Tech prepares students for careers in skilled trades and other technical fields. Supporting students while they are still in school is one way local businesses and community organizations can help strengthen the region’s future workforce.

The Rogers County Chapter’s donation is part of the HBA of Greater Tulsa’s broader commitment to education, workforce development and community investment throughout the Tulsa region.

For the chapter, however, this particular investment is close to home: helping Claremore students show up, stay engaged and have the opportunity to succeed.

“We’re proud to support Northeast Tech and the Attendance Matters initiative,” Chandler said. “Our community is stronger when our kids are successful, and we want to do what we can to help them get there.”
